The days of Cold Calling are over, if you want to be successful in these new times of Social Media prominence!
Instead of calling people up and pushing your products and services at them, why not have a conversation?
“Are you on LinkedIn? Let’s connect!” or
“So you’re a surfer as well? Great! Are you on Instagram? I’ve got some really cool pics surfing in Hawaii that you may like.”
When they ask you “What do you do?” then you have a chance to explain. But keep the hard sell sales talk away. Make them ask you instead of bombarding them with information about your latest products!
Be fair. Also ask them about themselves.
- What do they do?
- What’s their biggest frustration?
- What keeps them awake at night?
Ask questions and listen
The (new) process is to use Social Media networks to educate and engage your potential customers. Turning them into real customers and repeat ones at that is a snap if you do it right.
