SpaceX’s recent rocket launch had an unexpected turn… it exploded! Oopsy daisy!
No sweat! Elon Musk wrote it off as R&D. Research & Development plus his humorous tweet “…Rockets are tricky…” had people engaging with him, made them chuckle and crack jokes about it. They admire Elon for having a good attitude for this apparent setback. One step forward, two steps back? Or several rockets ok `forward’ and one rocket `backwards’ blow up! lol
We learn more when things don’t go well or as expected. In the case of rockets, it’s better to blow up early than when it’s deep in space with crew and passengers on board. Rockets are tricky indeed!
OK Elon, you’re allowed to blow up as many (more) rockets as you like!
“Three engine F9R Dev1 vehicle auto-terminated during test flight. No injuries or near injuries. Rockets are tricky …”
So how can you apply this concept to your life?
Life is tricky? Relationships are tricky? Money is tricky? Success is tricky?
Did something blow up in your face? Cost you a huge amount of money? I’ve got a few business `blow ups’. I’ve learnt to reframe and call them `R&D’. Research & Development.
Life is tricky. Things can blow up in your face… lol.
Relationships are tricky! Any time you have people involved, things can get tricky… dramas, politics, etc.
So what can you do? Get off the floor, Dust yourself off and Start again! Then fall on your face (again)… and pick yourself up! Fall on face again! Repeat and rinse! You groan…
Be strong and courageous! One day, you’ll stop falling on your face and you’re laughing all the way to the Bank!
